Windgids for Het Vlaams Energieagentschap (VEA)
We created an interactive handbook for Vlaams Energieagentschap (VEA)
Humans have been reusing the wind's energy for hundreds of years. From old farms in Holland to those in the United States, windmills have been used for pumping water and grinding grain. Today, the windmill's modern equivalent — a wind turbine — can use the wind's energy to generate electricity.
Flanders, just like many other regions in Europe, faces the challenge of a full transition from fossil fuels to a renewable — and sustainable — energy system. It is known that the quantity of renewable energy installations needs to multiply drastically in the future. But this raises the questions of how to do it, and who is going to do it?
To answer these questions, the Flemish Energy Agency (VEA), with help of tri.zone, 3E, and Visuality, published an interactive manual with many practical tips for local authorities and developers.
