Water is necessary for life, but there’s a water crisis that needs immediate action. The Global Water Partnership (GWP) is a network that takes action on this crisis. To spread their message, they team up with Visuality to make compelling visuals for their networking events. This case describes their work and how it raises awareness about the water crisis.

Visualising GWP’s 29-hours “around the Sun” Network Meeting

We supported the Global Water Partnership (GWP) during their first-ever 29-hours around the sun network event. Our mission? To create visual summaries of all the sessions during those 29 hours.

To make this happen, we had to organize ourselves and involve graphic recorders from all around the world to cover different time zones. It was a true global collaboration!

We created a general template with matching colours and brushes, so every artist could work in the same format – but still put their unique spin on things.

And not only did we get to work with some amazing colleagues, but we also felt good about reducing our carbon footprint by skipping the flights and travel to different venues.

GWP’s “Follow-the-Sun” Network Meeting engaged over 400 partners across nearly 50 countries in 15 consecutive multi-point video conference sessions over two days. The main aim was to seek insight for GWP’s strategy development, in addition to some necessary tasks.

Visuality also supported GWP by making live visuals of their strategy during other annual network meetings. These meetings are important because they help GWP establish policies and directions for the network. Visuality’s visuals make the meetings more engaging and informative, so everyone understands GWP’s objectives.

Engaging visual harvesting for 25 years GWP

Visuality also made engaging visuals for GWP’s 25th anniversary celebration. The celebration was for people worldwide to share stories about water leadership. Visuality co-created beautiful visuals for each of the 26 stories with GWP. They created many iterations to ensure that the visuals captured the story’s look and feel while being consistent across all 26.

Besides the visual stories, GWP wanted to do something extra to celebrates these 25 years of bringing people together to reshape water policies and practices for long-lasting impact on the ground.
