We draw while you talk. Visual harvesting captures the essence of your meeting or event in real time — turning conversations into visual stories that inform, inspire, and stick. You might know it as graphic recording, sketchnoting, live illustration, or simply visual harvesting. Whatever the name, the result is the same: a clear and engaging visual that distills what was said into something everyone can see, remember, and share.
Your meeting, event or conference probably has a packed agenda. Presentations, panels, discussions — all ideas that matter. But when there’s so much being said, it’s hard to keep the thread, let alone see the bigger picture.
We help you follow the flow, connect the dots and give shape to the story that’s unfolding. Whether it’s a high-level policy dialogue, a strategy retreat, a multi-speaker conference or presenting research findings, we’re there to make sense of it as it happens. Quietly in the background, but fully tuned in.
We don’t simplify what you say. We distill it into images that reflect the thinking, the energy, and the key insights of the moment.
We offer visual harvesting both on paper and digitally — live on location or even remotely through your video platform. The paper version brings a handcrafted feel: you see the drawing come to life stroke by stroke, and the finished boards or sheets can be displayed around the venue for people to explore, photograph, and enjoy.
The digital version, on the other hand, offers vibrant colours, more flexibility, and immediate shareability — perfect for showing live on the big screen or including in your post-event report.
Each approach brings its own kind of magic, depending on the vibe you want to create.
Capturing a live visual harvesting is one way to visualise your event — but sometimes, the vibe, energy, and process come through even better with enriched pictures. These are event photos that we enhance with hand-drawn elements, adding visual highlights, quotes, and moments that stood out.
They help participants see what happened, recognise themselves in the story, and reconnect with the experience. It often creates a sense of pride and ownership. On top of that, enriched pictures are a fun and effective way to communicate about your event afterwards, in reports, social media, or internal presentations.
Want to boost the reach of your event while it’s still happening? We can transform graphic recordings — or parts of them — into bite-sized visuals or simple animations on the spot, ready to post to your social media channels in real time. It’s a great way to keep online audiences engaged, amplify key messages, and let others follow along as the story unfolds. And afterwards? Those same visuals become perfect wrap-up content to keep the conversation going.
“Eye catching and really smooth, is how I would describe my collaboration with Visuality. They visually recorded and managed a webinar on the Shell Climate Case with Roger Cox. Pro bono! A value driven organisation. I loved their ability to combine the creative side with the practical handling of a webinar. Even with several hundreds of participants, they kept their cool. I strongly recommend Visuality for visual recording and every kind of facilitation.”Dries Verhaeghe

Connect with usYou might know it as: graphic recording, graphic facilitation, visual facilitation, generative scribing or live scribing. We call it visual harvesting. In short, we combine visuals and words to bring what you say to life.
We can display it as you want! When we work on paper we can place it on boards in various sizes. But we can also hang it on the wall (provided it is flat). We can project it live on one or more screens if we work on an ipad or if you place a camera to film the drawing on paper.
No, not at all. We can work on all kinds of surfaces — 3D structures or 2D structures. Imagine cubes, cut-outs in the the shape of your product, a person silhouette… you name it. As long as it enhances the outcomes and experience, we can go as creative and varied as you want.
Our pricing includes everything from preparation (including a briefing!) and design to live harvest, digital copy or physicalcreation — depending on the service. We also cover all the standard materials! A round of revision, as well as a reflection call after the project are all included. You’ll get a clear overview in the offer, so you know exactly what’s included (and what’s optional).
No problem! We can cover multiple sessions with a larger team or suggest smart ways to collect insights without needing someone at every table. We’ll help you find the right balance between coverage, depth, and budget.
We charge by half-day (under 4 hours), and full-day (under 8 hours). If your meeting is much shorter than this or much longer we’ll have a talk and see what we can do.
Regardless of whether the visual harvesting is done on paper or digitally, you will always get a cleaned up digital version of the recording in pdf and in jpeg format. If the visual harvesting was made on paper, you also get the original drawing.
Of course, we can provide you with take-outs from the visual harvesting. However, this takes extra work. We will charge them at our standard rate for studio work.
Yes, changes can be made as long as they are spelling or grammar corrections. These changes are even included in the initial price. We can also make changes in lay-out or even in the content. These changes will be charged at our standard rate for studio work.
Think of us like live translators. We listen actively and synthesise your ideas in words and images. We take our cues from tone and key- words to make sure we capture the essence. In addition, we have a planning call before to clarify the context of the event as well as any necessary jargon that is needed for the visual harvesting.
Yes, by all means! We work for you so the result is yours. You can change the colors, flip it upside down, enlarge it, hang it on a plane and fly around town! You decide.
We can if it was a digital visual harvesting made on the ipad. We charge our standard studio work rate for additional editing of the video.
